How to Remove Guides in Illustrator

It’s easy to remove guides in Illustrator, and there are multiple ways to do it.

Remove all guides

1. Be sure guides are unlocked and your guide layer is unlocked.
2. In the menu bar, go to View > Guides > Clear Guides. All of your guides will be cleared.

Note that this will only clear guides in unlocked layers.

Remove specific guides

1. Be sure guides are unlocked and your guide layer is unlocked.
2. Click on the guide you would like to remove. You can select multiple guides by dragging a selection, just like normal paths.
3. Press the delete key on your keyboard.
