How to Remove Guides in InDesign

It’s easy to remove guides in InDesign, and there are multiple ways to do it.

Remove all guides

1. Be sure guides are unlocked and your guide layer is unlocked.
2. In the menu bar, go to View > Grids & Guides > Delete all guides in spread. All of your guides will be cleared.

Note that this will only clear guides in unlocked layers.

Remove specific guides

1. Be sure guides are unlocked and your guide layer is unlocked.
2. Click on the guide you would like to remove. You can select multiple guides by dragging a selection, but note that this will not work if you already have a path selected.
3. Press the delete key on your keyboard.

Remove only page guides.

It is not possible to only remove page guides in InDesign. However, you can do this with

GuideGuide.
